Learning is a Lifelong Experience
I am frequently asked how I learned to do certain things in life, like balancing a checkbook and folding a fitted sheet. Although the 2 have nothing in common, it dawned on me that I learned these kinds of things from my parents.
What happens if your parents, teachers, guardians or whoever never taught you how to do things like this? You might have been lucky enough to learn from your friends or their parents. If not, it is never too late to learn how to do what you’ve always wanted to do.
I am one of the lucky ones whose parents taught me how to balance a checkbook, set up and maintain a filing system, and fold a fitted sheet. Having these organizing skills helped me realize that I could be a professional organizer and teach people what I was taught. We all have the ability to learn something new, and there is no reason not to take advantage of having those people in your life to help you along.
When potential clients call me (or even those I’ve worked with who call back for additional help), I tell them they should give themselves a pat on the back for realizing they need some help and for actually making the call to someone who can help them. The words “overwhelmed”, “stressed”, and “don’t know where to start” are common among many to whom I talk.
If you are feeling overwhelmed by your clutter and don’t know where to start to get organized, take that first step, make the call, and find out for yourself what can happen.
- You’ll get more done, and it won’t take as long as you think.
- You’ll have an expert by your side to keep you motivated, inspired, and on track.
- You’ll be amazed at how much you’ll get accomplished.
- You’ll see an immediate increase in productivity.
Think of it as an investment in yourself that will give you the greatest return in more areas than one. We don’t always know what we don’t know.
Are you ready to make that call?
Now is your time to go from Bedlam to Brilliance
